[ARCHIVED] How to Vote in the Upcoming General Election

Looking for information on how to vote in this year's upcoming General Election? Here is your guide to learn about early voting, absentee voting and where to go on Election Day:

Early Voting

Early voting for this year’s General Election will be held at the Fort Mill Community Center, 1011 Talbot Drive, Fort Mill, for all registered voters in York County from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday, Oct. 21 through Saturday, Nov. 2. Voting will be open from Mondays through Saturdays, and polls will be closed on Sundays. Visit https://www.yorkcountygov.com/vote for more information about early voting.

Absentee Voting

Did you know you can vote absentee by mail in this year’s general election? Voters can request an application for a ballot by mail prior to Election Day. Deadline to return absentee by-mail applications is 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, and deadline to return absentee by-mail ballots is Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. For more information about the process, visit https://www.yorkcountygov.com/vote.

Election Day

Don’t forget, Tuesday, Nov. 5 is Election Day! Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and as long as you are in line by 7 p.m., you are allowed to vote.
