[ARCHIVED] Stormwater Department Selling Rain Barrels

SW rain barrel1- 2-23

The Town's Stormwater Department is excited to offer its new Rain Barrel program this spring. Rain barrels capture water from a roof and hold it for later use such as on lawns, gardens or indoor plants. This reduces the amount of water flowing from your property and helps to conserve water, plus it's free water for use in your landscape.

Anyone may purchase a rain barrel for use at their home or business (including non-Town residents). To purchase your rain barrel, click here! If you are a Town of Fort Mill resident, you may also apply for a Stormwater Fee Credit once you install your rain barrel.

Rain Barrel FAQs

All orders must be picked up by customers (or their representatives) in person.  The rain barrels easily nest- two to three will fit in the back seat of a four-door sedan.  Hatchback vehicles with the seats folded down will fit 3 to 6 nested rain barrels.  Tie-downs are needed for open truck beds.

Deadline to order online is March 22 by 11 p.m. Our pick-up date will be April 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Town's Utilities & Public Works Building, 131 E Elliott St. Click here to learn more about the Town's Stormwater Department.
