Please note, beginning March 27, 2023, Sam Smith Road will be permanently closed. This road intersects with Sutton Road and is not located within the Fort Mill Town limits, though many Fort Mill residents travel this road on a regular basis. The road closing is part of the York County Pennies for Progress intersection improvements for Sutton Road and New Grey Rock Road. Message boards alerting the public with the changes will be put in place prior to closing Sam Smith Road.
