[ARCHIVED] For all Fort Mill Water Customers- Water Meter Replacement Project

20180412 fort mill logos-06

All Fort Mill Water Customers:  Please note, beginning Thursday, July 6 at 11 p.m. through the early morning hours of Friday, July 7, the City of Rock Hill will be replacing its master water meter. The City of Rock Hill supplies water to the Town of Fort Mill, which the Town then distributes to its customers.  The water meter replacement work is expected to last up to three hours. To prepare for the water outage as part of this process, the Town of Fort Mill will be filling all water storage facilities prior to the work beginning. To minimize the impact to Town customers, we ask that you reduce water usage by turning off all irrigation systems on Thursday night into Friday morning. As most irrigation systems are automatically scheduled during night time hours this will be the largest single draw on the system during the outage time frame. Some customers could notice a drop in water pressure during the outage and may notice air or discoloration in their lines following the work. Customers can run their cold taps for a few minutes to resolve the issue once the work is completed. For any questions, please contact (803) 547-7158.
