Join the Town of Fort Mill on Friday, Dec. 8 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. outside the Fort Mill Fire Department, Station 1, 121 Tom Hall St., as we kick off our donation day for the annual Steve’s Coats for Kids drive! We are looking for new and gently used coats of all sizes which will be given to local children in need. And to say thank you, the first 50 people to donate a coat will receive a thank you gift with several town-branded items! We will also have our prize wheel available for the chance to win some more great prizes, and we will have special giveaways for children (including ornament kits and Z-bar granola bars).
Now in it’s 20th year, the coat collection campaign is hosted by WSOC-TV Chief Meteorologist Steve Udelson who is asking for donations of new and gently worn coats of all sizes. Every coat collected at the Fort Mill location will go to a local charity for a child in need.
For those who would still like to donate but can’t make it there in the morning, the drive will be held until 5 p.m. and marked collection bins will be available outside the fire station.
Thank you for helping children in need this holiday season!
