On Thursday, July 4, 2024, join the Town of Fort Mill for the 52nd annual Firing of the Cannons on Main Street at 10 a.m.
The Town will host a special patriotic ceremony to commemorate the occasion with Town Council, South Carolina Strawberry Queens, special music and local dignitaries. Our resident cannoneers, the Short Family, will do the honor of firing the cannons. This will be their 51st year leading this historical event.
Make sure to enjoy our downtown merchants following the ceremony. Please note, that several downtown streets will be closed from 9 to 11 a.m. to accommodate the firing, including portions of the following: White Street, Main Street, Confederate Street and N. White Street.

First Baptist Church, 121 Monroe White St.
Please abide by these rules for safety:
*No sitting or climbing on cannons or monuments
*Do not sit or stand beyond barricades/fencing
*Do not enter roped off area around cannons
*Follow Town Staff guidance at all times
