dreamstime_xl_29689217

UPDATE as of 10 a.m. 10/9/24: Please note, York County Government has advised that their boil water advisory remains for the areas of Fort Mill affected by a water outage this week. This includes any home or business that had no water or low pressure during the outage. This is for customers in the Fort Mill area who pay for water service from York County. This does not apply to customers who pay for water service from the Town of Fort Mill. The water samples must be tested and that could take between 24 and 36 hours, starting from this morning. See below for how to contact York County Water and Sewer Department.

_____________________________________________________

Water notice for unincorporated Fort Mill area and residents on the York County water system: For our neighbors who live in the unincorporated parts of Fort Mill and any Town of Fort Mill residents who receive water service through York County, due to yesterday’s water main break and a subsequent leak, that area is under a boil water advisory. This should not impact Town of Fort Mill customers on the Fort Mill water system. No Town of Fort Mill services have been affected and no boil water advisory is needed for customers within Town of Fort Mill limits.

For any questions, please contact the York County Water and Sewer Department at 803-628-3211. You can also visit https://www.yorkcountygov.com/307/Water-Sewer.
