[ARCHIVED] I-77 Traffic Changes Due to Construction Jan. 26-31

Drivers should be aware of a new traffic pattern this weekend due to continuing construction work in the area of I-77 and its interchange with S.C. 160. The contractor, United Blythe Joint Venture (UBJV), will be making the following changes between Jan. 26 and 31:

  1. Sunday night, Jan. 26: I-77 Southbound Traffic Shift (moving traffic to the outside shoulder of I-77)
  2. Monday night, Jan. 27: Traffic shift onto the new I-77 Northbound on-ramp
  3. Tuesday night, Jan. 28: I-77 Northbound Traffic Shift (moving traffic to the outside shoulder of I-77)
  4. Tuesday night, Jan. 28 through Friday night, Jan. 31- Installation of Median Temporary Concrete Barrier Wall on I-77

Please note, these dates are subject to change based on weather conditions. Some preliminary work will begin this evening, Jan. 24, and throughout the weekend. Drivers should be prepared for lane closures and these changing traffic patterns as the work unfolds.
