Meet Phillip Aycock, the Town of Fort Mill’s very first Procurement Manager! Phillip has proudly served our community for the past 10 years, dedicating his career to making sure the Town’s purchases are handled with integrity, fairness, and efficiency.

๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ’ผ Why public service?
 For Phillip, it’s all about giving back. “A career in public service allows you to give back to your community in meaningful ways. I feel a deep sense of responsibility and enjoy making a difference in the life of our community.”

๐Ÿ“… What’s a typical day like?
 No two days look the same. Phillip collaborates with all departments across the Town and works with countless vendors to bring services and projects to life.

โœ… Favorite part of the job?
 “I get to see a purchase or project from the very beginning to completion. It’s incredibly rewarding to bring ideas off the page and into reality for our community.”

๐Ÿ† A proud accomplishment?
 Phillip built the Procurement Department from the ground up! As the first Procurement Manager in Town history, he established processes that ensure open competition, ethical conduct, and support for all Town operations.

 Phillip’s work helps ensure every purchase the Town makes is responsible, transparent, and compliant with laws and ordinances. It’s behind-the-scenes work that touches nearly every service the Town provides.
