This October, Downtown Fort Mill comes alive with fun, shopping, dining and fall festivities! Stroll through and enjoy the 11th Annual Scarecrow Crawl, and take in the sights, sounds and flavors of fall.

In an effort to promote the Main Street-area merchants and foster a pedestrian-friendly area for shopping, dining and visiting the Scarecrow Crawl, the Town of Fort Mill will be closing Main Street and hosting its Weekends on Main event during the following times:

  • October 3–6 (Friday at 3 p.m. – Monday at 7 a.m.)
  • October 17–20  (Friday at 3 p.m. – Monday at 7 a.m.)
  • 📍Main Street Closure Area: Main Street from Academy Street to Tom Hall Street

🚧 What to Know:
 • Main Street parking coned off starting by 6 AM each Friday on these dates
 • Detours and signage will guide motorists
 • Alcoholic beverages allowed only within the designated barricaded Main Street area

🏆 Scarecrow Crawl Highlights:
 Stroll around Downtown and visit entries beginning Friday, October 3-31, from local schools, businesses, churches and organizations.

The 2025 South Carolina Strawberry Queens will be our judges for these Award Categories:

...and Town of Fort Mill Staff gets to pick their favorite for Town Staff Choice.

People’s Choice Voting:
 The public is invited to vote too! LIKE your favorite Scarecrows on the Town's Facebook page from October 8–27 for People’s Choice and Best Town of Fort Mill Department Entry. The 11th Annual Fort Mill Scarecrow Photo Album will be pinned at the top of the page. All winners will be announced on October 28 on our social media pages and will receive trophies and prizes.

🌾 Also Visit: Fort Mill Farmers & Artisans Market in Veterans Park, Saturdays in October, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
